Absolutely. I'm looking for any means possible to swap modernity for joy. Christmas markets instead of Black Friday shopping. Tea time instead of Starbucks, vinyl instead of Spotify. And stories, always, over the news.

This sounds so ridiculous I have to see it now. And I'm much like your brother; I've seen probably 8 romance movies this particular century. But it's sure better than doomscrolling, every time.

Oh my gosh I love this. Yes to all these things. I struggle with made-for-TV holiday romances, but not for any of the things you brought up. I like the tropiness and the silliness and humor. I think if I'm honest, I struggle with...the hotness? lol. The youths hehe. In other words, this is me saying that if you come across any of these holiday romances about middle-aged or old people, LET ME KNOW.

And in that vein, yes PLEEEEEASE Hot Grinch. Played by someone like Bill Nighy! I've got it all planned...

Lol glad to hear. I just prefer genuinely quirky looking actors and actresses, ya know? But I've heard only good things about this one.

YES! Look, sometimes something of value can just be... fun. Have you seen Meet Me Next Christmas? It's all the joy and silliness of a Christmas movie and I think it does a good job of winking at while fully embracing silly tropes. Also the band Pentatonix play super silly singing matchmakers and the main characters compete in a drag ball. 5/5 Sleigh Bells from me.

I started watching this tonight, but stopped after like 10min. Did not feel it. But the new movie with Lohan "Our Little Secret", that one was great! 😁

I watched Hot Frosty with my husband last night, and it was a hoot. I love cheesy holiday romances and this one was fun. Very silly. Lots of laughs.

An absolute hoot! And so sincere in how much it WANTS the viewer to have a hoot, you know? So great

I really liked Hot Frosty, too! Especially the intense sheriff. "But... there hasn't been a murder in town for more than a hundred years!" "You're welcome!" :D

Love it!! I learned so much from my experience writing steamy romance under a pen name. I became a far better writer because of tropes and learning how to write to market. 💕

For books! I wrote novellas and short stories. “All the feels in half the time.” 💃🏻
