I’m not a make art out of chaos person right now either. Glad to hear you’ve got exciting news - treasure it until that big announcement time comes! :)

Who can work like this!?! That said, I'm very excited for the books that are going to be born out of all this chaos

If it helps, I've REALLY struggled with writing since the election. I'm not going to fight it and end up with crap that will be deleted. So I'm editing finished stories and world building on a new serialzied story I'm working on. Life, I think, thrives on being rude and this adulting shit is for the birds, all we can do is take one stupid day at a time.

Haha life thrives on being rude! I love this. Just keep swimming, my friend!

I love hockey and I'm glad Canada won! We're actually coming up to Toronto for a weekend trip where we plan to go to the Hockey hall of fame again and a Marlies game (the Maple Leafs on are the road, sadly). I think for me I've been hitting a lot of "what's the point of it all?" and just feeling so tired, it can be hard to make art. sounds like you have a nice north star ahead of you to keep your focus on. Keep going!

A Marlies game is a great time! I hope you enjoy your visit!

Thank you for sharing. The fear and worry do distract. I'm also looking for that fixed point for my eyes to stick to as the spinning world keeps rushing by. Wishing you all the best.

Meaghan, thank you so much for sharing. There is a lot going on, and it’s so important to follow your heart always. You’re doing it with grace. Family first always 💜 and taking care of oneself. I’m so happy for your writing news, understand and appreciate your feelings, and wish you the best with the time to focus. Feeling fear and/worry is so powerful, and so are you, and your art, and your heart. I’m here if you want to talk and I’ll say what someone else here said well: “take good care.”
