I recently read Lynette Noni's YA fantasy The Prison Healer trilogy and LOVED IT. I kept wanting to read more! I avoided reading it for years because the setting is so dark and heavy, but she really treated things well and tells SUCH a twist-filled, vivid story that I highly recommend.
Haha at least it did for me. Maybe I'm overselling it, and I barely remember the characters and plot but I ABSOLUTELY still remember the atmosphere and the vibes and how much I wanted the circus to be real. And that's very unusual for what I care about in books.
the vibes are very strong. Its exactly why I picked it up because Starless Sea was a similar experience where you just want to dive into the world she creates. I very much want to go to Le Cirque de Rêves!
On the TV front, my husband signed us up for Paramount+ for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show that's based off of the Mutant Mayhem movie: "Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". The show is a DELIGHT. The animation is wonderful and 2D, the jokes and banter are witty, and they change the opening intro based on the current tale being told (There's 2 main stories so 2 different openings). There's only 10 episodes total, so if you don't have the streaming service and wanna hop on super fast for some good turtle vibes, I highly recommend :)
U know, i started it during lockdown and then got distracted by Tiger King haha i should really give it another try cus the episode i watched was great!

For your watch list I recommend Wendel and Wild, I really enjoyed the art direction and it was quite underrated in my opinion!
Just looked it up - written by Jordan Peele! Yes please! Great suggestion, thanks Marco!
Night Circus is a book that stays with you the rest of your life.
Gasp! I haven't gotten to that sort of impact with it yet but this makes me very excited!

Um YES. If something involves my beloved turtles, it goes to the top of my watch list!! I loved Mutant Mayhem, thanks for this!
We are binge watching True Blood. I’ve seen it but my hasn’t. It’s the best hot trash ever
It’s so good! Plus you get to hear New Zealanders and Australians try to do a Louisiana accent!
Thats the most important part, really

The closest place is often the farthest away.
المكان الأقرب هو في أغلب الأحيان المكان الأبعد.
I wonder if you would like the Netflix show Sweet Magnolias?
