Thanks for the recommendations. I always like seeing those from creators.

I am a little bit obsessed with Anne Rice's Interview with a Vampire series on AMC. It's sooo good!

I just finished Running Close to the Wind by Alexandra Rowland (a queer pirate fantasy) and loved the offbeat characters and witty banter dialogue. And I'm currently reading In the Hour of Crows by Dana Elmendorf, an Appalachian magical murder mystery, and I'm enjoying it so far. The books are quite different in tone, with RCTW much lighter and ITHOC darker, in case that matters.

Hi Meaghan!

I am homeschooled and it is the weekend today! (Is it Friday at your place? I am bad at timezones! If it is then TGIF for you!)

I am wishing overloads of chocolate Cornetto Ice Cream! Do you know Cornetto? It is a really tasty ice cream company! And maybe I am going to catch up on some mermaid drawings! <3 Have a good holiday to you!

Hi Miya! I dont know Cornetto - where I am, I like Kawartha Dairy! They have a chocolate peanut butter ice cream that I absolutely love!

Wow that sounds so yummy!

Cornetto has an ice cream that has both light and dark chocolate in it! This one is my favourite!

Definitely excited about the Sketchbook Gallery! Hoping to submit something over the weekend.

I'm really looking forward to Lev Grossman's new book, The Bright Sword, which comes out next week! He authored my favorite books series, The Magicians, and I'm anxious to see what he does with Arthurian legend.

I just finished reading Make Your Art No Matter What by Beth Pickins. It took me a bit to get into it, and while I wouldn't say that it blew me away, I found it practical and helpful, overall.

Great recommendations! I also find myself leaning more into the "literary" recently (kind of hate that term, but it's the most efficient way to describe an amorphous phenomenon). Did you end up finishing Witch King?

Oh no, I didn't! I got distracted by sequel to the Bear and the Nightingale! I need to circle back to it. Did you?
