Behind the Scenes: Mermay "Desk Tour"

Ok reader, brace yourself - I’m taking you behind the scenes of my creative madness for the month of May. Sort of like checking out what’s cluttering my desk if you stepped into my office. A “desk tour”. If you read the last post, you know May is when I devote myself to the Instagram drawing challenge Mermay. Why? Because sometimes you just need a little fun and magic in your life and Mermay has that in spades.

Traditionally, you follow the official prompt list (or unofficial prompt lists) and draw a mermaid every day (or as often as you can manage). I’ve participated in this challenge since 2020, and now, in 2023, I want to come at it in a different way from how I’ve done it in the past. This is Authorstrator after all, and we don’t just draw here - we write too!
